Engagement Sessions

When should we take engagement photos?
Engagement photos should be taken within 1-3 months of getting engaged before you start planning the big day. The images are often used for Save-the-Date Cards.
What should we wear/bring to our engagement session?
You'll want to wear what represents you and your partner's relationship as well as who you both are as individuals. Neon colors are a big no-no. It is best to stick to neutral colors, light hues, solids and also avoid loud patterns. You want to complement each other, but not match. Accessories are a great way to spice up your outfits. Things like necklaces, scarves, hats, etc. can help add that 'pop' to your wardrobe.
Remember that your engagement session is seen as a preview of your wedding day. What type of theme are you setting? Choose accessories, props, and clothing that go best with the overall event of your union. Bring relationship memorabilia with you, love notes, instruments and things that represent or resemble something about the two of you together. It's fun to find creative ways to present your wedding date like written on chalkboards, arranged in scrabble pieces, etc. I have props for this as well, but you can get creative with it to add that uniqueness that your relationship has to your images!

Of course, don't forget the ring!
